A "chukka" is a lightweight, low boot with three lace-holes, originally used by British desert forces during WWII, but later popular with polo players and factory workers who did not need bulky footwear. This variant is made with premium Mohave suede leather with a light olive colour.
Red Wing's classic Chukka sports an Atlas Tred polyurethane outsole, sewn to the upper with a full Goodyear welt. The boots are reinforced with a large toe cap and extra leather at the heel. Instead of creating the suede texture by splitting the leather, Red Wing simply reverses it inside-out, maintaining the strength of the full-grain leather.
Made in USA. This model is part of the Red Wing Heritage collection which revives the brand's original models and production methods.
