Cotton shirt from Libertine-Libertine featuring their Voleur De Vin motif.
‘Voleur de vin’ (thief of wine) comes from 17th century France, where dock workers made straws they could squeeze into the cracks of wine barrels without opening them, stealing the wine & getting drunk without being caught.
Libertine-Libertine is a long-term favourite of ours. This Danish brand is operated by three jovial Copenhageners and stands out from other Scandinavian streetwear brands for their unorthodox fabric choices; often using heavy-gauge brushed cotton and wool flannel, which are perfectly suited to our Nordic climate. The price of the garments are often much lower than other brands when the high quality of fabrics and construction are taken into account. Libertine-Libertine employs generous cuts with wide bodies, sleeves and shoulders. All items are made in Europe.
