Tough everyday shoe from Red Wing. Launched in the 1954 primarily for postmen and police officers, who needed a shoe that could survive day-long walks yet still be polished to uniform standards. This variant is made with Red Wing's Black Chaparral leather which is completely smooth and easy to shine.
The upper is made with one piece of leather which overlaps the small quarter panels. The cushioned wedge sole is fastened with a full Goodyear welt. The leather is produced at Red Wing's own tannery in Minnesota and is slightly thinner than in Red Wing's boots.
Made in USA. This model is part of the Red Wing Heritage collection which revives the brand's original models and production methods.
