Yoshida is probably Japan's best bag maker. The company was founded in 1935 as a nameless subcontractor to other brands, until finally launching the Porter brand in 1962. Yoshida makes all bags by hand to order in Tokyo. The brand combines innovate materials with traditional stitching techniques at a level which surpasses almost everything else on the market. The collections Tanker and Force are based on the gear used by American soldiers stationed in Japan in the 1980s, using a bomber jacket-like Nylon with excellent durability.
